PNOE
PNOĒ builds clinical-grade portable breath analysis technology measuring 23 biomarkers to deliver non-invasive cardio-metabolic diagnostics for health professionals.
PNOĒ, founded in 2016, develops clinical-grade portable metabolic breath analysis technology. The company was established by engineers with roots in PhD research, and spent nearly two years on research and development before launching its first commercial breath analysis system. Its stated aim is to bring lab-grade cardio-metabolic diagnostics to the mass market without blood draws or other invasive procedures, allowing health professionals to prescribe nutrition and exercise as medicine.
The core of the technical work is a 23-biomarker breath analysis platform, which PNOĒ describes as providing a complete 360-degree view of human physiology. Metrics derived from a single analysis include VO2 Max, resting metabolic rate, fat burn efficiency and biological age. The company places itself among the few firms worldwide with the expertise to build clinical-grade portable metabolic analyzers - a discipline spanning physiological sensing, biomarker analysis, clinical-grade hardware and health data analytics.
Commercially, the technology is used across health and fitness, clinical diagnostics, preventive health, sports performance and hospitality. Named customers include Equinox, Four Seasons and Red Bull Racing. PNOĒ has been recognised by Y Combinator and Endeavor, and was listed by the Financial Times among America's fastest-growing companies. The founding engineers are based in Greece, with growth concentrated in the United States and a customer base of health professionals globally.
