Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of Deeptech Insider Jobs at jobs.deeptechinsider.com (the “Job Board”) and the services provided through it.
The Job Board is operated by:
Deeptech Insider
Waldenburger Weg 4
40627 Düsseldorf
Germany
Email: contact@deeptechinsider.com
(“Deeptech Insider”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an Employer account, submitting a job posting, purchasing a paid service or otherwise using functionality requiring acceptance of these Terms, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope and eligibility
Deeptech Insider Jobs is a specialised job platform focused on employment opportunities at science-based, technology-driven and deep-tech companies, particularly in Europe.
Employer accounts and paid job-posting services are intended exclusively for businesses, organisations and persons acting in a professional or commercial capacity.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an Employer account, submit a job posting, purchase services or otherwise act on behalf of an organisation through the Job Board.
By creating an Employer account or submitting content on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to act on behalf of that organisation.
The Job Board is not intended to provide consumer services through Employer accounts or paid job-posting functionality.
2. Employer accounts
Employers may be required to create an account before accessing certain functionality, including creating or managing company profiles and submitting job postings.
You must provide accurate and current information when creating and using an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities carried out through your account. You must inform us without undue delay if you become aware of unauthorised access to or use of your account.
We may require verification of an Employer, company or account before providing or continuing to provide certain functionality.
Employer accounts are intended for legitimate professional recruitment activities and may not be created using false identities, misleading company information or for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
3. Company profiles
Employers may create or manage company profiles containing information such as company descriptions, websites, locations, logos, images and other company-related information.
Employers are responsible for ensuring that information submitted for a company profile is accurate, lawful and sufficiently up to date.
By submitting content for publication, the Employer grants Deeptech Insider a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for the duration for which the content is made available through the Job Board to host, reproduce, technically adapt, display and distribute that content to the extent necessary to operate, promote and provide the Job Board and the relevant listing or company profile.
The Employer represents that it has the necessary rights to submit and permit the use of all text, logos, images, trademarks and other materials provided to the Job Board.
4. Job postings
Employers may submit job postings through the Job Board using the available Post a Job functionality.
Job postings may include information such as job title, description, employment type, location, workplace arrangement, salary information, experience and education requirements, technology or job classifications, application links and other recruitment-related information.
A submitted job posting does not automatically create a right to publication.
Deeptech Insider may review job postings before publication to assess their general suitability for the Job Board and compliance with these Terms.
We may reject, request changes to, suspend or remove a job posting where there are reasonable grounds to believe that it:
- contains unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or materially inaccurate information;
- infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties;
- contains discriminatory or otherwise unlawful recruitment requirements;
- does not represent a genuine employment opportunity;
- contains malicious links, spam or harmful content;
- is materially inconsistent with the focus or purpose of Deeptech Insider Jobs;
- has been submitted by a person or organisation whose identity or authority cannot reasonably be verified;
- violates these Terms or applicable law; or
- creates a material security, legal or reputational risk for the Job Board or its users.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may contact the Employer to clarify or correct an issue before rejecting or removing a posting.
5. Employer responsibility for job content
The Employer is responsible for the content and accuracy of its job postings and other information submitted to the Job Board.
In particular, the Employer is responsible for ensuring that:
- the advertised position is genuine and currently available at the time of submission;
- descriptions, requirements, locations, salary information and other material information are accurate and not misleading;
- the posting complies with applicable employment, anti-discrimination, equal-treatment, immigration, advertising and other applicable laws;
- the Employer has all rights and permissions necessary to publish the submitted content;
- application links and contact information are legitimate, functional and appropriate; and
- personal data of third parties is not included unless there is a lawful basis for doing so.
Any review or approval performed by Deeptech Insider is intended to assess the general suitability and apparent compliance of a posting for the platform. It does not constitute verification, certification or endorsement of the accuracy, completeness, legality or quality of the information provided by the Employer.
Publication of a job posting does not constitute an endorsement of the Employer, the advertised position or any statements contained in the posting.
6. Applications and job seekers
Deeptech Insider Jobs currently directs job seekers to the application website, applicant tracking system, email address or other application method specified by the respective Employer.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Deeptech Insider does not receive, assess or select candidates and is not a party to the employment or recruitment relationship between an Employer and a job seeker.
Once a user follows an external application link or otherwise leaves the Job Board, the relevant Employer or third-party service provider is responsible for the external website and the subsequent application process.
Deeptech Insider does not guarantee that an application will be received, reviewed or answered by an Employer.
Employers are solely responsible for their recruitment decisions and for complying with applicable employment and data-protection requirements in connection with applications they receive.
7. Job performance and availability
We do not guarantee any particular number of views, clicks, applications, candidates, hires or other recruitment outcome resulting from a job posting.
Any statistics displayed through the Job Board, including views or application-link clicks, are provided for informational purposes and may be affected by technical factors, filtering, automated traffic prevention or other circumstances.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Job Board. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, security measures, technical failures, platform-provider availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8. Prices, orders and payment
Submission of a paid job posting constitutes a binding offer by the Employer to purchase the selected service. The contract is concluded when Deeptech Insider accepts the order, for example by confirming the booking, publishing the job posting or issuing an order confirmation.
The prices applicable to paid job postings or other paid services are those displayed or otherwise communicated at the time the relevant order is submitted.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are quoted exclusive of applicable VAT or other taxes.
Paid job postings are currently invoiced directly by Deeptech Insider. No payment-card information is required through the standard invoicing process.
Invoices are payable within 14 calendar days from the invoice date, without deduction, to the payment details stated on the invoice.
The Employer is responsible for providing complete and accurate billing information, including the legal company name, billing address, invoice contact details and VAT identification number where applicable.
Where legally applicable, VAT will be charged in addition to the stated net price. Where the reverse-charge mechanism or another tax treatment applies, invoices will be issued accordingly on the basis of the information provided by the Employer.
If payment becomes overdue, Deeptech Insider may exercise the rights available under applicable law and, after appropriate notice where required, may suspend further paid services or decline additional job postings until outstanding amounts have been settled.
9. Publication period and changes to job postings
The publication period and scope of a paid job posting are determined by the product or package selected or otherwise agreed at the time of booking.
Employers are responsible for informing us if a position has been filled, withdrawn or materially changed where this is not possible through the available account functionality.
Certain information relating to a submitted or published job may be locked against subsequent editing where this is necessary to maintain billing integrity, listing consistency, platform security or an accurate record of the purchased service.
Where functionality permits Employers to edit published information, the Employer remains responsible for ensuring that the amended content complies with these Terms.
10. Cancellation, rejection and refunds
Submission or payment for a job posting does not create an unconditional right to publication where the posting violates these Terms or applicable law.
If we reject a paid job posting before publication for reasons unrelated to a breach of these Terms by the Employer, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include correction of the posting, an alternative posting opportunity or reimbursement of the amount paid for the affected service.
Where a posting cannot be published or must be removed because the Employer has provided unlawful, misleading, infringing or otherwise non-compliant content, entitlement to reimbursement will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights.
11. Prohibited use
You may not use the Job Board:
- for fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful purposes;
- to advertise fictitious positions or collect personal data without a genuine recruitment purpose;
- to distribute spam, malware or malicious links;
- to impersonate another person or organisation;
- to infringe intellectual property, privacy or other third-party rights;
- to interfere with the security, integrity or operation of the Job Board;
- to attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
- to scrape, harvest or systematically extract data from the Job Board in violation of applicable law or technical restrictions;
- to circumvent technical access controls or security measures; or
- to use the Job Board in a manner materially inconsistent with its intended professional recruitment purpose.
12. Intellectual property
The Job Board, including its design, branding, editorial content, software-related presentation and other materials provided by Deeptech Insider, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except where expressly permitted, users may not reproduce, modify, distribute, commercially exploit or otherwise use Deeptech Insider content without permission.
These restrictions do not affect rights in content owned by Employers or other third parties.
13. Third-party content and external links
Job postings, company profiles and other Employer-provided content originate from the respective Employer or content provider.
Deeptech Insider does not adopt Employer-provided content as its own merely by hosting, reviewing or publishing it.
The Job Board may contain links to Employer websites, applicant tracking systems and other third-party services. Deeptech Insider does not control such external services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices or performance.
Users should review the applicable terms and privacy information of the relevant third-party service.
14. Content moderation and removal
Deeptech Insider may restrict the visibility of, reject, suspend or remove content where this is reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with applicable law, respond to sufficiently substantiated notices concerning potentially unlawful content, protect users or third parties, or maintain the security and integrity of the Job Board.
Where required by applicable law, affected users will be provided with information concerning restrictions imposed on their content or account and any available means of redress.
If you believe that content published on the Job Board is unlawful or infringes your rights, you may contact us at:
Please provide sufficient information to identify the relevant content and explain the basis of your request.
15. Suspension and termination of accounts
Employers may stop using the Job Board at any time, subject to outstanding contractual and payment obligations.
We may temporarily restrict or terminate an Employer account where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the Employer has materially or repeatedly breached these Terms, used the Job Board unlawfully or fraudulently, created a security risk, or failed to pay amounts properly due.
Where appropriate and legally required, we will take into account the nature, severity, frequency and circumstances of the relevant conduct before restricting or terminating an account.
Termination of an account does not affect payment obligations, rights or claims that arose before termination.
16. Liability
Deeptech Insider is liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and in other cases where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
In cases of slight negligence, Deeptech Insider is liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of the agreement and on whose fulfilment the contractual partner may ordinarily rely. In such cases, liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for this type of agreement.
The above limitations also apply to the benefit of Deeptech Insider's legal representatives, employees and agents where claims are asserted directly against them.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Deeptech Insider is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or legality of content supplied by Employers or other users. Employers remain responsible for their job postings, company profiles and other submitted content as set out in these Terms.
Deeptech Insider does not assume responsibility for recruitment decisions made by Employers, applications submitted to Employers, employment relationships arising between users, or the performance of external websites or applicant tracking systems.
The statutory rules concerning liability for third-party content and information remain unaffected.
17. Indemnification
Where legally permissible, an Employer shall indemnify Deeptech Insider against justified third-party claims arising from content submitted by the Employer or from the Employer's unlawful use of the Job Board, where the Employer is responsible for the circumstances giving rise to the claim.
This may include reasonable costs of legal defence to the extent recoverable under applicable law.
The Employer shall not be responsible for claims caused by Deeptech Insider's own breach of duty or unlawful conduct.
18. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Cookie Policy.
Employers are independently responsible for complying with applicable data-protection requirements in relation to personal data they receive through their own recruitment processes.
19. Changes to the service and these Terms
We may modify the Job Board and its functionality from time to time, including to improve the service, address security or technical requirements, comply with legal obligations or reflect changes to our platform provider.
We may also update these Terms where reasonably necessary due to changes in the service, applicable law or our business processes.
Where a change materially affects an existing contractual relationship or users' rights, we will provide appropriate notice where required by law.
The version of the Terms applicable to a paid job-posting order is generally the version accepted at the time the relevant order was placed, unless a subsequent change is required by law or separately agreed.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and the contractual relationship between Deeptech Insider and Employers are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Where the Employer is a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the courts having jurisdiction at Deeptech Insider's place of business shall have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Mandatory statutory rules concerning jurisdiction remain unaffected.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by the applicable statutory provision. The same applies to any unintended contractual gap.
