Level Zero Health

Level Zero Health builds a wearable patch using DNA-based sensor technology for real-time, lab-free measurement of stress and reproductive hormones.

Level Zero Health, founded in 2023, is developing what it describes as the world's first platform for real-time, lab-free hormone measurement. The company's core technology is built on DNA-based sensor platforms, combining expertise in advanced biochemistry, nanotechnology, and electrochemical aptamer-based sensing. Its technical approach targets the intersection of wearable technology and clinical diagnostics.

The company's primary product is a minimally invasive wearable patch that attaches to the user's arm, delivering real-time measurements of stress and reproductive hormones. The device uses proprietary electrochemical aptamer-based sensors to detect hormone levels in interstitial fluid. Level Zero Health reports that its DNA-based sensors have been validated across 98% of the human clinical range. Target applications include hormone health, IVF, menopause, and testosterone replacement therapy.

Level Zero Health was founded by Ula Rustamova, an ex-Palantir Enterprise Tech Lead and wearable startup founder, and Irene Jia, a former Philips medical device developer. The company is backed by investors including redalpine, SOSV, and Entrepreneur First, and was recognised as one of the top 20 startups globally at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024.
