Nanize

Nanize develops patented, PFAS-free polysilazane nano coating formulations together with rapid-curing technology aimed at industrial-scale surface protection. Its coatings are designed for metals, plastics, glass and other functionalized substrates, and are specified to deliver low friction, scratch resistance, hydrophobicity, anti-soiling performance and long service life.

The company's work spans nanotechnology, coatings and materials science, surface chemistry, polysilazane formulation, functional additives and curing technology, with a specific focus on PFAS replacement. Target industries include cookware, technical fabrics, membranes, packaging, automotive, architectural materials, optical substrates and industrial manufacturing.

Nanize is based in Narvik, Norway, where it operates 400 square metres of laboratory space. The team is compact and international, combining chemists and materials scientists. Development is oriented towards practical, industry-facing outcomes: making coatings durable, scalable and compatible with industrial production rather than purely laboratory research, and basing formulations and curing technology on proven industrial equipment.
