Septentrio
Septentrio builds high-precision multi-frequency GNSS receivers with anti-jamming and anti-spoofing protection for industrial, autonomous and defense systems.
Septentrio designs and manufactures high-precision, multi-frequency, multi-constellation GNSS receivers for industrial and autonomous systems that must operate reliably in difficult conditions. The company's equipment delivers decimeter to centimeter-level positioning accuracy and is engineered to hold that accuracy in the presence of interference, jamming and spoofing. Its AIM+ anti-jamming technology is built to mitigate these threats and maintain positioning continuity.
Founded in 2000 as a spin-off from imec, the European research institute for microelectronics and nanotechnology, Septentrio has more than 25 years of history in satellite positioning. The company was founded by engineer Peter Grognard and retains a founder-led engineering culture. It serves a worldwide customer base across marine, mining, agriculture, autonomous vehicles, robotics and defense.
Technical work at Septentrio centres on GNSS and GPS positioning, multi-frequency multi-constellation signal processing, interference mitigation, autonomous navigation and embedded firmware development. The company maintains a customer-centric approach to technical support and firmware updates, with a stated focus on accuracy and reliability in mission-critical navigation, where failure is not an option.
