OGT

OGT, a Sysmex Group company founded in 1995, develops FISH, NGS and microarray products for clinical and diagnostic genomics, sold in over 70 countries.

OGT is a global provider of clinical and diagnostic genomic solutions, built around hybridisation-based technologies spanning fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH), next-generation sequencing (NGS) and microarray platforms. Founded in 1995 by Professor Sir Edwin Southern and now part of the Sysmex Group, the company has more than 25 years of experience in genetic analysis and serves customers in over 70 countries. Its head office is in Oxford, UK, with an additional facility in Cambridge.

The company's product lines address distinct points in the genomic workflow. CytoCell covers FISH products for clinical and diagnostic applications; CytoSure provides microarray products for genomic analysis; and SureSeq offers NGS-based assays. Applications include cytogenetics, haematological malignancies, solid tumours, rare diseases and precision medicine, serving both research laboratories and clinical diagnostic settings.

OGT describes its approach as "created for scientists by scientists", working in close partnership with customers to adapt its approach to specific laboratory requirements, and providing technical support to laboratories worldwide. The stated mission is to enable researchers and clinical decision-makers to reach the right care decisions for each patient.
