French healthtech company applying AI and NLP to medical documents, with products for secure sharing, EHR integration and clinical research data management.
Lifen is a French healthtech company founded in 2015 that applies artificial intelligence and natural language processing to medical documents, allowing healthcare professionals to share, structure and integrate clinical data. Its work spans health data integration, electronic health record (EHR) connectivity, clinical research data management and data security. The company is headquartered in Paris and operates across the French healthcare system.
The engineering scope is reflected in the volume of data handled: Lifen processes over 45 million medical reports per year and maintains more than 1,600 connected data flows across French healthcare. More than 800 hospitals and 150,000 healthcare practitioners are connected to its platform, and one in four French citizens has received a medical document through it.
Four products make up the current offering. Lifen Documents is a secure medical document sharing platform for healthcare professionals; Lifen Integration automates EHR integration; Lifen DataLab manages clinical research data; and Curecall provides automated patient follow-up.
Given the sensitivity of the data involved, compliance is central to the technical operation. Lifen holds ISO 27001 certification and Health Data Hosting (HDS) certification, and states full GDPR compliance.
