Factbird

Factbird is a manufacturing intelligence company founded in 2016. It provides a real-time production tracking suite designed to collect factory floor data without intrusive installation, turning it into insights that help manufacturers reduce waste and improve efficiency. The system is used by more than 300 companies across 28 countries, with offices in Denmark and the United States.

The product began as Blackbird, an in-house tool developed within Emendo Consulting Group to address production data problems at Royal Unibrew in the beverage industry. The platform was rebranded to Factbird in 2023. Its technical focus spans non-intrusive industrial data collection, real-time production monitoring and analytics, and waste reduction optimisation, aimed at both managers and frontline teams on the factory floor.

The company's approach reflects its origins: rather than selling large, complex systems, it emphasises simplicity so that production data is accessible to the people working with it. Deployments span manufacturing operations generally, with early work in beverage production. The stated ambition is to serve manufacturers worldwide from its dual Denmark-US base.
