Sensorfact

Dutch industrial IoT firm offering a smart monitoring platform of sensors, software and consultancy that helps manufacturers find machine-level energy waste.

Sensorfact is a Dutch industrial IoT company, founded in 2016, that builds an all-in-one smart monitoring platform for manufacturers. The system combines hardware sensors, software and tailor-made consultancy to track electricity consumption, gas, water, compressed air and temperature at the machine level, with the aim of identifying energy waste and delivering actionable savings recommendations to plant operators.

The company reports more than 4,000 customers across over 80 countries and upwards of 420 GWh of energy savings identified. Its technical work spans smart sensors and hardware, machine-level submetering, energy monitoring software and data analysis, applied within manufacturing and industrial energy management. Sensorfact employs over 300 people from more than 50 nationalities, with a presence in the Netherlands and Spain.

The firm was started by Pieter Broekema, a former external energy consultant who set out to make industrial energy monitoring simpler and more affordable after encountering complex and costly incumbent solutions. Sensorfact describes its mission as making industry smarter, cleaner and more efficient. It has entered a strategic partnership with ABB to support global expansion.
