Archangel Autonomy builds edge AI systems for human-machine teaming, including AI threat-detection cameras, infrastructure-free navigation and a partner-integrated mission management platform.
Archangel Autonomy develops edge AI systems designed for human-machine teaming in hazardous operating environments. Its customers include first responders, NGOs, wildlife rangers, law enforcement and military users. The technical work spans computer vision, autonomous navigation, threat and intruder detection, sensor and platform integration, and mission management and orchestration.
The company's product line comprises three systems. Argonaut is a range of AI cameras that identify intruders and threats, reducing the number of personnel required on patrol while minimising electromagnetic signatures. Xnaut is a navigation system that achieves highly accurate positioning over extended ranges without reference to vulnerable external infrastructure; it also detects changes in a situation and selects appropriate responses. Cerebella is a mission management platform that gathers machines from an expanding catalogue of partners and integrates them into human-centred workflows.
The stated design philosophy is one of keeping people away from harm and supporting those the company describes as working "on the edge" of society. The approach is collaborative rather than vertical: rather than building every platform itself, Archangel Autonomy integrates partner hardware through Cerebella and works across the defense, law enforcement, NGO and wildlife conservation communities.
