Energy Robotics GmbH builds a hardware-agnostic AI software platform for autonomous robot and drone inspections in hazardous industrial environments.
Energy Robotics GmbH develops a hardware-agnostic AI software platform that lets autonomous robots and drones carry out inspections in dangerous and remote industrial environments, keeping human workers out of harm's way. Because the software is decoupled from the machines running it, asset owners can manage mixed fleets of robots and drones from a single system and deploy them across sites including oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, power stations and other industrial installations.
The platform applies AI and machine learning to turn inspection data into operational insight. Its capabilities include autonomous robot and drone navigation, computer vision, analog gauge reading, gas leak detection, identification of valve positions and thermographic analysis, alongside fleet management and predictive maintenance functions. The aim is to support industries on the path to Industry 4.0 by automating repetitive surveillance work and improving the consistency and frequency of inspection rounds.
The technology is deployed at scale: more than 80 robots operate across four continents, and the company reports that its systems have freed up over 19,000 worker hours from repetitive surveillance tasks. The stated mission is to relieve people of dull, dirty and dangerous work, redirecting them towards safer and more fulfilling roles.
