Aesyra

Swiss MedTech company making sensor-equipped smart oral appliances that monitor and relieve sleep bruxism, with clinical testing across Switzerland and Italy.

Aesyra is a Swiss MedTech company developing smart oral appliance technology for sleep care. Its focus is sleep bruxism, the nocturnal grinding of teeth, which it addresses with the AesyBite™ family of customized oral appliances. The devices embed sensors that collect and display sleep metrics, combining diagnosis and treatment in a single appliance. Each unit is fitted to the individual patient's mouth and built to a compact design with minimal thickness.

The company reports clinical results showing a 70% reduction in bruxism activity after just three nights of use. Aesyra has secured EU regulatory approval. Its clinical work is carried out with three partners: EPFL, San Gerardo Hospital in Italy and the Clinique Universitaire De Médecine Dentaire in Geneva. Aesyra originated as an EPFL spin-off and its development process emphasises clinical validation and evidence-based iteration.

The company operates within the medical devices, sensor technology, embedded sensors, sleep monitoring and wearable health tech domains. Its work spans the MedTech, sleep medicine, dentistry and healthcare verticals, with activity in Switzerland, Italy and the wider European Union.
