Vizzia

Vizzia provides French municipalities with computer vision, 4G/5G nomadic sensors and sovereign cloud infrastructure to detect illegal dumping and public safety issues, with privacy-preserving design.

Vizzia builds technology for local governments. Founded in 2021, the company equips municipalities with a system that combines computer vision, 4G/5G nomadic sensors and sovereign cloud infrastructure to address illegal dumping, noise disturbances and other public safety and cleanliness problems. The architecture spans edge and nomadic sensing through to cloud processing, and is designed around privacy-preserving principles and respect for individual liberties - an orientation reflected in both the product and the underlying infrastructure.

Two products are in the field. The Vizzia cleanliness solution detects and identifies illegal dumping within minutes and shortens investigation cycles; where it has been deployed, illegal dumping has fallen by 80%, with over €1 million in fines recovered. The Vizzia safety solution supports municipal teams in handling noise disturbances and reinforcing public tranquility. More than 150 cities across France use the technology, typically communes of 65,000 to 300,000 inhabitants.

The company's technical roots lie in a collaboration between CNRS and Polytechnique, and its products are co-designed with the municipalities that use them. Vizzia employs more than 100 people and raised €16 million in 2025 to accelerate growth and expand its team. Its work sits at the intersection of computer vision, embedded and wireless sensing, and sovereign cloud infrastructure, applied to public-sector deployments in France.
