Single Quantum

Single Quantum builds superconducting nanowire single photon detectors and light sensing systems for quantum communications, spectroscopy, and space-based technologies, serving over 400 laboratories globally.

Single Quantum develops superconducting nanowire single photon detectors (SNSPDs), which are among the world's fastest and most sensitive light sensors. Founded in 2012 in Delft, the Netherlands, the company has grown to a team of over 70 employees drawn from 25 nationalities, with additional presence in Stuttgart, Shenzhen, Knoxville (Tennessee), and across Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and India.

The company's flagship product, the Single Quantum Eos, is a multi-channel photon detection system used in more than 400 academic and industrial laboratories worldwide. Its detector technology serves applications across quantum communication and cryptography, infrared fluorescence spectroscopy, laser communications, laser ranging, and space-based quantum technologies.

Single Quantum operates at the intersection of quantum physics and precision engineering, building hardware that underpins research and development in some of the most technically demanding fields in modern science and industry.
