Roke is a sovereign UK defence and national security company, founded in 1956 and part of Chemring Group PLC. It develops intelligence and engineering solutions for customers protecting nations, troops, borders and critical infrastructure, working across the defence, national security, border security and critical-infrastructure-protection sectors within the United Kingdom.

The company employs more than 850 people, of whom nearly 60% are engineers - a ratio that reflects its origins as a start-up of 28 engineers and its continued emphasis on deep technical expertise. Its technical work spans sensors, communications, cyber, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, autonomy and robotics, electromagnetic-spectrum operations, and specialised sensors and effectors. Roke reports double-digit revenue growth.

Roke's product portfolio includes CORTEXA GUARDIAN, for counter-UAS operations; Crucible, a geopolitical risk intelligence product; EM-Vis, for electromagnetic spectrum management; and Strix, an automated binary analysis product. The company describes its remit as solving the nation's most complex technology challenges and building sovereign UK capability to protect UK interests at home and abroad.
