Quantum Motion Technologies

Quantum Motion Technologies develops scalable quantum computers using standard silicon CMOS chip fabrication technology.

Quantum Motion Technologies is building scalable quantum computers by leveraging standard silicon CMOS chip fabrication, the same process used to manufacture conventional processors. The company's approach aims to bridge the gap between quantum computing research and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. Its team of over 100 people spans offices in London, Oxford, San Sebastián, and Sydney.

In September 2025, the company delivered what it describes as the industry's first full-stack quantum computer built using standard 300mm silicon CMOS fabrication. The technical work spans qubit design, integrated circuit engineering, quantum computing theory, and software engineering. The founders bring over 40 years of combined experience in developing qubits and quantum computing architectures.

Quantum Motion targets applications in materials modelling, medicine, artificial intelligence, and clean energy. The company describes its culture as collaborative and interdisciplinary, with an emphasis on software directly accelerating breakthrough physics.
