Pasqal

Pasqal builds full-stack neutral-atom quantum processors, developing lasers, vacuum systems, control electronics and software in-house for enterprise applications.

Pasqal is a full-stack neutral-atom quantum computing company founded in 2019 as a spinoff from the Institut d'Optique in Paris. It designs and builds commercial-grade quantum processors based on Nobel Prize-winning research, with the aim of delivering practical quantum advantage for enterprise use. Unlike firms that focus on a single layer of the stack, Pasqal develops the entire system in-house: lasers, vacuum technology, electronic controls and the software stack that makes individual atoms accessible to quantum programmers.

The technical work spans neutral-atom quantum computing, quantum processor engineering, laser and vacuum technology, electronic controls, quantum software and research into fault-tolerant quantum computing. The company holds 85 patents. Its staff is an international, multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and business professionals, including more than 70 PhDs, spread across four continents: Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia Pacific.

Pasqal targets applications in energy, finance, healthcare, mobility, aerospace and defence. It went public on Nasdaq in August 2026 under the ticker symbol PSQL, with approximately $360 million in cash at the time of the listing. Roles at the company span quantum physics research, hardware engineering and commercial operations.
