OPEN MIND Technologies develops CAD/CAM software, most notably hyperMILL, a CAM solution for machine- and controller-independent NC programming. The software covers 2.5D, 3D and 5-axis simultaneous machining strategies, and is aimed at tool and mould making as well as general cutting machining. The company was the first CAM developer to offer 5-axis simultaneous machining for tool and mould making.

Founded on more than 30 years of experience, OPEN MIND employs over 400 people and operates through 17 international branch offices. Core technologies are developed in-house, which the company describes as allowing streamlined structures and fast response to customer requirements. It collaborates with CAD software vendors, cutting tool manufacturers and machine tool providers, with an engineering focus on improving performance in both programming and the cutting process itself.
