Octiva develops robotic labour automation for Controlled Environment Agriculture, including greenhouse robotic vehicles, UV-C crop treatment and autonomous spraying systems.
Octiva builds robotic labour automation for the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) market. Founded in 2021, the company was formed from the horticultural robotics division of Octinion and the robotic solutions unit of Priva. It works with growers on crop-focused automation intended to raise yields, improve quality and address labour shortages in greenhouse horticulture. Its stated operating principle is summed up in the company motto, "Job > Done."
The product line spans three areas of greenhouse automation. Xenion is a range of robotic vehicles for greenhouse and CEA operations. Lumion applies UV-C treatment technology to crops, reducing chemical residues by up to 51% compared with traditional spraying methods while delivering higher yields, better quality and greater consistency per harvest. Renion covers autonomous spraying for greenhouse horticulture. Together these target the technical domains of robotics, autonomous vehicles, autonomous spraying and UV-C treatment, and the systems are designed to run for growers 24/7.
Octiva positions itself as a technology leader in greenhouse automation, developing scalable and sustainable automation solutions in close collaboration with innovative growers. The company maintains strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Continental, Berkvens, Delphy, Koppert and Priva. Its work sits at the intersection of agriculture and horticulture, controlled environment agriculture and crop production.
