Envipco
Envipco designs and manufactures reverse vending machines and deposit return scheme systems for recycling plastic, aluminium, steel and glass beverage containers across more than 14 countries.
Envipco builds reverse vending machine (RVM) technology and the deposit return scheme (DRS) infrastructure that underpins it. Founded in 1982 and incorporated in Delaware as Environmental Products Corporation, the company develops machinery and software for the recognition and collection of post-consumer beverage containers, spanning plastic bottles, aluminium cans, steel cans and glass bottles. Its technical work covers bulk-feed collection, container recognition, and the wider systems required to run deposit return schemes at national scale.
Two machines anchor the product line. The Quantum RVM is a bulk-feed reverse vending machine designed for high-throughput collection, while the Compact is the company's most versatile unit, suited to a range of retail footprints. Envipco supplies customers from small local retailers to major enterprises; among the latter are Walmart, Costco, Walgreens, Trader Joe's and Intermarché. The company describes its mission as providing the technology that enables consumers worldwide to recycle beverage containers.
Envipco operates in more than 14 countries and runs four production plants, in the United States, Germany, Greece and Romania. With over 40 years in the sector, it is one of the world's largest reverse vending machine suppliers, serving the beverage container recycling, retail, grocery and waste management industries. Its stated focus is on circular economy solutions and on the development of new collection technology.
