Dispelix

Dispelix develops augmented reality (AR) waveguide display technology: transparent waveguides that act as see-through displays in AR devices, overlaying virtual content on the user's view of the real world. Founded in 2015 by Finnish research scientists, the company designs custom, high-performance waveguide solutions built for scalable mass production, serving the consumer and enterprise AR wearables markets.

The technical work spans optical design and simulation, see-through display optics and waveguide design software. Dispelix's proprietary design software models augmented reality as perceived by the human eye, and is used to push against the physical limits of display technology. Waveguide manufacturing is carried out in close cooperation with manufacturing partners, with strict quality control applied throughout production processes.

Headquartered in Espoo, Finland, Dispelix also maintains subsidiaries in the United States and China. The company works with AR industry organisations as a technology partner, applying a research-driven approach to product development.
