Anapaya Systems

Anapaya Systems builds networking and software solutions based on SCION, an inter-domain routing protocol designed to let organisations transport business-critical data across a secure, resilient and flexible Internet. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich, the company works on secure path selection, network security and inter-domain networking, with a particular focus on critical infrastructure. It holds US patents for its path selection technology.

The company sells three SCION-based products. GATE protects critical infrastructure from cyberattacks and supports business continuity. EDGE provides secure, transparent transport of business-critical data. CONSOLE offers management and visibility for SCION-based network connectivity and control.

Anapaya's work targets operators of critical infrastructure and their suppliers, including financial services, healthcare, energy, government and defence. Its engineering concerns span inter-domain routing and control, network security and secure path selection.

The company employs more than 35 people drawn from over 20 nationalities and describes itself as mission-driven, with the aim of building an Internet for critical infrastructure. Its roots in academic research at ETH Zurich continue to shape a culture oriented towards innovation and technical depth. Anapaya operates globally from a Swiss base.
