CYSEC SA
CYSEC SA builds cryptographic and cybersecurity tools that protect satellite communications links, ground infrastructure and computing on untrusted infrastructure.
CYSEC SA develops high-performance cybersecurity tools and cryptographic solutions for space internet networks, satellite communications links and critical ground infrastructure. Its work spans cryptography, systems security, embedded systems and confidential computing, including protection of IT execution environments running on untrusted or third-party infrastructures. The company was founded in 2018 by a team of cryptographers and specialists in cybersecurity, systems security and embedded systems, and was spun out of EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Its ARCA product line secures data links between ground stations and satellites, satcom links providing connectivity to end users, and IT execution environments operating on third-party infrastructure, with a focus on robustness, confidentiality and integrity. The company's stated motivation includes geopolitical threats to private space assets, among them the 2022 KA-SAT cyberattack, and it collaborates with major space agencies and satellite operators on space communications security.
Headquartered in Luxembourg, CYSEC SA maintains additional offices in Switzerland, France, the United States and Italy, giving it a presence across five countries. Its technical scope covers data link protection, satellite communications and IT execution environment security, addressing customers in space and satellite communications, critical communications infrastructure and cloud infrastructure security.
