Xcalibur Multiphysics

Xcalibur Multiphysics provides airborne geophysics and multi-source geodata integration, operating a fleet of over 40 aircraft with proprietary gravity, electromagnetic and magnetic sensors.

Xcalibur Multiphysics, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Spain, provides airborne geophysics solutions through its Xcalibur Smart Mapping business. The company integrates multi-source geodata across the full survey workflow: data acquisition, processing, interpretation and management. It operates what it describes as the world's largest airborne geophysics fleet, with more than 40 specialised aircraft and proprietary sensing systems, and has collected over 50 million linear kilometres of geophysical data across five continents in the course of some 1,500 projects.

The company's proprietary instrumentation spans several sensing disciplines. FALCON® is an airborne gravity gradiometer used for geophysical data acquisition; TEMPEST® is an airborne electromagnetic sensor system for geophysical surveys; and MagCUBE covers magnetic sensing. These systems feed a broader technical stack that includes airborne gravity gradiometry, electromagnetic and magnetic sensing, geophysical data processing and interpretation, and geodata management.

Xcalibur's work serves mining and minerals exploration, government mapping programmes, the energy sector and energy transition, and infrastructure development. The company states a commitment to accelerating a just energy transition, supporting the responsible discovery of natural capital, protecting biodiversity and promoting sustainable economic development. Combined experience across the organisation exceeds 100 years.
