VÆRIDION

VÆRIDION, a Munich-based startup founded in 2021, develops the Microliner: a 100% electric nine-passenger aircraft for regional air travel, with a 400 km range and sub-40-minute charging.

VÆRIDION is a Munich-based deep-tech aviation company founded in 2021 by former Airbus executives Ivor van Dartel and Sebastian Seemann. It is developing the Microliner, a clean-sheet, 100% electric aircraft designed for regional air travel. The nine-passenger aircraft is intended to carry up to nine passengers over 400 km under IFR conditions, with charging times under 40 minutes. The design features a glider-inspired wing, integrated modular batteries and a multi-engine propulsion system. The company's stated aim is to reconnect remote and underserved regions with zero-emission, cost-effective flights.

The technical programme spans electric propulsion, aircraft design, battery integration and aerospace engineering, with certification work targeting EASA CS-23. Rather than pursuing unproven concepts, VÆRIDION describes a pragmatic engineering approach built on established aerospace technologies. It works with industry partners including Bosch, Evolito, MT Propeller, GKN Aerospace and Dassault Systèmes to accelerate the route to certification.

The company employs over 60 people and raised a €14M Series A. Alongside its headquarters in Munich, it operates a subsidiary in Delft, in the Netherlands. VÆRIDION sits at the intersection of aerospace, regional air mobility and zero-emission transportation.
