Telespazio Belgium
Telespazio Belgium, founded in 1982 in Bastogne, provides satellite services and engineering - system design, hardware and software development, integration, operational support - for European space programmes.
Telespazio Belgium is a space engineering company founded in 1982 and headquartered in Bastogne, with permanent establishments in Germany and the Netherlands. A subsidiary of Telespazio within the Leonardo Group, the firm employs more than 150 people and has maintained continuous activity in the space sector for over 40 years, working throughout that period with space agencies and satellite operators across Europe. Its capital stands at 1.2 million euros.
The company's work divides into two areas. The first is satellite services, covering navigation, earth observation, satellite communications and space operations. The second is engineering services: system design, hardware and software development, system integration and operational support. Together these span the technical chain from initial design through to in-ormission support.
Sectors served include space technology, aerospace and defence, alongside the space agencies themselves. Telespazio Belgium draws on the joint-venture expertise of Leonardo and Thales through its parent, Telespazio. Its stated remit is to contribute to ambitious space missions - a mission-driven culture it summarises as 'building bridges into space'.
