SiFive, Inc. designs and licenses RISC-V processor IP, offering high-performance, scalable processor core IP that customers use to build custom chips with flexibility and power efficiency. The company was founded by the inventors of the RISC-V instruction set architecture, an open standard intended to prevent vendor lock-in and allow hardware to be tailored to specific workloads. Technical work at the company concentrates on the instruction set architecture and on power-efficient processor design across scalar, vector and matrix workloads, with an emphasis on open-standard hardware and custom silicon. SiFive operates globally.
