Septeo is a European software group that builds professional applications for the legal, real estate, hospitality, human resources, accounting and education sectors. The company employs more than 3,600 people, among them over 300 engineers, and operates in more than ten countries. It reports €80 million of investment in research and development.

Artificial intelligence is the company's principal technical focus. Septeo has made heavy investment in generative AI and applies it across its product lines through BRAIN lab, its in-house AI innovation lab, which engineers AI-powered solutions and integrates generative models into the group's existing offerings. The engineering organisation works on enterprise software development and applied AI research, with the stated aim of embedding intelligent features in domain-specific tools rather than building standalone models.

Product development is organised around six verticals - legal, real estate, hospitality, HR, accounting and education - with software tailored to the working practices of each profession. Septeo describes its approach as "Customer Lover": close client relationships and immersion in clients' professional environments are used to track industry changes as they occur and to shape the roadmap accordingly.
