Nextpower

Nextpower, formerly Nextracker, designs solar trackers and integrated structural, electrical and digital energy technology for utility-scale solar plants worldwide.

Nextpower, formerly Nextracker, designs and delivers intelligent solar tracking and integrated energy technology for utility-scale solar power plants worldwide. The company's products span structural, electrical and digital domains: solar trackers, foundations, electrical balance of systems (eBOS), robotics, solar software, yield management systems and power conversion systems. Its tracker business has shipped more than 150 GW of capacity globally, and the company has ranked first in solar tracking for 10 consecutive years.

Technical work at Nextpower covers solar tracking technology, structural solar solutions, eBOS, robotics, solar software, yield management, power conversion and utility-scale plant integration. The company's stated approach is to integrate these technologies so they work together as a single system, rather than supplying fragmented components. Power conversion systems represent a newer addition to the portfolio, extending the offering beyond tracking.

Founded in 2013 by Dan Shugar, who has been in the solar industry since 1988, Nextpower is headquartered in Fremont, California, with operations across North America, the Middle East and globally. The company rebranded from Nextracker to Nextpower in November 2025 to reflect its evolution into an integrated energy technology platform serving developers and operators of utility-scale solar projects.
