Magnopus

Magnopus builds immersive experiences across entertainment and education using spatial computing, AI and cloud technology, from VR for NASA to virtual production for Fallout.

Magnopus is a Los Angeles- and London-based studio that builds immersive experiences combining spatial computing, artificial intelligence and cloud technology. Founded in 2013, the company employs more than 180 artists, designers and engineers and has delivered hundreds of projects across entertainment, education, film and television production and gaming. Its work spans AR, VR, web, mobile and virtual production, with an emphasis on interactivity and visual fidelity.

Recent projects include virtual production for the Fallout franchise, an immersive Daft Punk Experience built for Fortnite, and Mission: ISS VR, a simulation of the International Space Station created for NASA. Connected Spaces, a project bridging physical and digital environments, was recognised by TIME's Best Inventions list.

The company describes its staff as "experience engineers", working collaboratively across two offices on the premise that technology should recede from view for the person using it. Magnopus reports no external funding and has operated for more than a decade.
