JUNA Technologies GmbH is a joint venture between Scania CV AB and sennder Technologies GmbH, founded in 2023, that offers electric trucks as a service to small and medium-sized carriers across Europe. The company's pay-per-use model pairs Scania's premium electric trucks with sennder's digital freight platform and green loads, removing upfront costs and residual value risks that typically deter smaller operators from electrifying their fleets. Its stated target is the deployment of 5,000 electric trucks by 2030, in line with European Union Green Deal goals.
The service combines hardware with a supporting software and operations layer. A 360-services suite covers maintenance, insurance, telematics and electrification support, while a digital control tower provides real-time data on emission savings and truck performance.
