IDOVEN is a European deep tech company founded in 2018 that applies artificial intelligence to cardiology. Its work centres on electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis, using deep learning to support early detection and precision medicine for cardiovascular disease. The firm was founded by a cardiologist and an engineer with a PhD in AI applied to cardiology, and its research output includes 35 publications in top-tier scientific journals.
The company's principal product is Willem, a cloud-based cardiology-as-a-service platform and the first such AI platform to receive CE marking. Willem analyses ECGs from any device and identifies 22 cardiac patterns and measures four intervals - P Interval, PR Interval, QT Interval and QRS duration - to help clinicians identify, triage and diagnose patients at scale.
The models are trained on more than 1.8 million ECG hours drawn from clinical trials involving upwards of 28,500 subjects. IDOVEN works with partners across the Life Sciences and MedTech sectors and operates in healthcare, clinical diagnostics and pharmaceuticals markets in Europe.
