DEVITY

DEVITY is a university spin-off from Paderborn University that develops software automating the setup and management of digital identities for smart devices and IoT projects. The company, based at Technologypark 6 in Paderborn, Germany, works with device manufacturers, systems integrators and device operators, combining product development with consulting services that support standards implementation, including IEC 62443 and CRA compliance.

Its flagship product, KEYNOA, is a central service for the secure and automated onboarding of devices across different infrastructures. The platform is designed for large-scale IoT projects with high IT security requirements, which it supports cost-efficiently, and provides zero-touch and zero-trust capabilities for every device.

The technical work spans cryptography, identity management, cloud computing, IoT security, device onboarding, certificate management and authentication, with a focus on automating digital identity processes end to end. DEVITY states that its roots lie in cutting-edge academic research at Paderborn University, and the company is funded by the European Union.
