CEiiA

CEiiA is a Portuguese centre of engineering and product development working across mobility, aeronautics and space, from prototyping through certification.

CEiiA is a Centre of Engineering and Product Development that conceives, develops and productizes new technologies, products and services. It operates across three high-tech sectors - Mobility, Aeronautics and Space - and works end-to-end on complex engineering programmes, from design and prototyping through certification and testing. The organisation has over 20 years of experience and is among the ten largest R&D investors in Portugal.

Its engineering work spans mobility and electric vehicles, aeronautics and aircraft development, and space systems and satellites. In Mobility, CEiiA developed the Toyota APM electric vehicle in partnership with Toyota, as part of efforts to accelerate the transformation towards carbon-neutral cities. In Aeronautics, it serves as a key development partner on the Embraer KC-390, a new-generation aircraft programme. In Space, CEiiA led the development of the MH-1, the first fully developed satellite of Portugal, and is pursuing the MH-Constellation satellite initiative.

CEiiA is headquartered in Matosinhos, Portugal, with a second engineering facility in Évora operating since 2015. It works with global partners and customers and bridges cities, industry and universities around product development programmes, with a stated orientation towards a more sustainable future.
