Alimentiv

Alimentiv is a contract research organisation specialising in gastrointestinal disease. Founded in 1986, it originated at the Robarts Research Institute in London, Ontario, and operated as Robarts Clinical Trials before rebranding in 2020. The company provides end-to-end clinical trial services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, spanning clinical study management, central medical imaging, biomarkers, precision medicine and histopathology.

Its scientific work concentrates on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and wider GI research. Among its contributions is the Robarts Histopathology Index, a validated outcome measure recognised as a gold-standard endpoint in IBD studies. Alimentiv reports supporting more than 70% of IBD compounds in development, drawing on a network of more than 5,000 clinical trial sites across over 60 countries.
