Technology and Product
Beneath the surface, SR Robotics’ systems combine rugged mechanical design with modular electronics built for demanding subsea conditions. Its portfolio includes remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) such as the heavy-duty Octopus, equipped with tool interfaces for cutting, gripping and intervention, and the compact Nautilus, optimised for inspection in confined or structurally complex environments. Surface and autonomous systems like the ASV Narwal and AUV Belona extend operational reach to mapping, hydrographic surveys and long-duration data acquisition. Vehicles can be fitted with sonar, magnetometers, cameras or manipulators, depending on mission requirements. Tethered configurations provide continuous power and real-time command, while control stations integrate live video, sensor streams and mission logging for precise remote operation and documentation. The modular architecture allows rapid reconfiguration between inspection, intervention and survey missions without redesigning the base platform. This flexibility is intended to reduce mobilisation time and adapt equipment packages to evolving operational demands across marine and inland environments.

Industrial Fit and Applications
SR Robotics’ robots are tailored for sectors where underwater access is risky, expensive, or restricted. Work-class ROVs carry out mechanical tasks, high-pressure water jet cutting, and the detection or removal of underwater hazards such as unexploded ordnance. Inspection drones support condition assessment of submerged infrastructure including bridges, dams, piers and pipelines. Autonomous and surface platforms gather hydrographic data and help map seabeds for environmental study or engineering planning. Beyond civil uses, the company’s systems are also flagged for defense and offshore energy roles, including UXO handling, seabed surveys and protection of subsea assets. Their operation reduces diver exposure to dangerous conditions, supports compliance with safety standards and, through remote data capture, enables detailed situational awareness for complex missions. Recent funding rounds underscore interest in scaling services such as Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) and expanding operations to emerging maritime sectors.

Founding Team
SR Robotics was established by engineers and technologists from Poland’s robotics and automation community, building on expertise in marine systems and industrial control. Leadership includes Tomasz Hartwig (CEO), Tomasz Borowik (COO), and Piotr Ściegienka (CTO). Together, the team focuses on scaling underwater robotics solutions that improve safety and efficiency in marine work.
