As the number of satellites in orbit continues to grow rapidly, managing space assets is becoming increasingly complex. Traditional ground-controlled operations are difficult to scale as constellations expand and missions become more dynamic. Blackswan Space develops autonomy technologies designed to enable spacecraft to operate with reduced human intervention. The company focuses on software and integrated systems that support mission planning, navigation, and in-orbit decision-making. By combining real-time simulation, computer vision and latest advancements in GPU the technology aims to support more scalable and resilient space operations across commercial and institutional missions.
Technology and Product
Autonomous space operations require accurate simulation, robust navigation, and reliable onboard decision-making. Blackswan Space develops a suite of software and hardware solutions designed to support these capabilities. Its Mission Design Simulator provides a real-time virtual environment for modelling complex space missions, including rendezvous, docking, in-orbit servicing and wargaming scenarios. The company’s Vision-Based Navigation system enables satellites to perform autonomous manoeuvres using onboard sensors and image-based tracking. Together, these technologies support tasks such as satellite inspection, servicing, and debris removal, forming a foundation for increasingly autonomous space missions.

Industrial Fit and Applications
The strongest demand for autonomous space technologies emerges as satellite constellations grow in scale and operational complexity. Blackswan Space positions its solutions for satellite operators, mission integrators, and defense-related applications. Typical use cases include in-orbit servicing, inspection, collision avoidance, debris removal, and constellation management. These capabilities are particularly relevant in environments where real-time decision-making and reduced reliance on ground control can improve mission efficiency and safety. As orbital activity increases, autonomous systems are expected to play a central role in enabling scalable and sustainable space operations.
